I started thinking of all the things that were transformed because they were touched by Jesus. The water pots of Cana at the wedding, dirt that Jesus mixed to heal blinded eyes, deaf ears, the beds of the lame, so many miracles! Simple objects and human lives were radically changed because they met the Son of God.

Then, my mind went to the Cross. That was a symbol of Roman execution–a violent death reserved for hardened criminals. But when I think of the cross, I see the symbol of life–of freedom from sin and the promise of Heaven–all because Jesus hung there. History’s view of the cross was eternally altered because Jesus was there.

Finally, my life was changed because of meeting Jesus personally. Jesus also wants to meet you personally and change your life! Only He can take broken pieces of a person and turn them into something beautiful for His glory. He makes it new, He heals, and He saves. “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

How can you meet Jesus personally and be saved by him? Romans 10:9 says “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
